Lord Romantic is a son of Don Romantic, who was named Stallion of the Year in Denmark in 2010. Don Romantic is by the recently deceased influential stallion Don Schufro, who made his mark in sport by winning an Olympic bronze team medal under Andreas Helgstrand. Don Romantic ranks number 1 on the German dressage index!

Lord Romantic’s dam, Veroniek (standing 1.72 m), descends from the Grand Prix stallion Krack C, who has had a major influence on dressage breeding.

She competed successfully at Z2 dressage level, and her dam Normiek (by Hitchcock, 1.78 m) produced several high-level sport horses. Among them are a ZZ-Zwaar level horse by Apache, and Z-level dressage horses by Tolando and Gribaldi. She is also the dam of National Champion dressage foals Bormiek (by Tuschinsky, IBOP 82 pts, 2006) and Jambeau (by Apache, selected and 4th in the championship inspection in 2017).

Normiek is the half-sister of the Small Tour horse Donzel (by Zeoliet), and their dam Termiek (by Onyx) is (great-)granddam to a large number of high-quality sport horses.

Lord Romantic is a well-balanced, reliable, and sympathetic stallion with a great attitude. He shows a strong willingness to work and is easy to handle. His walk is pure, active, and spacious. His trot is light-footed, with good reach and suppleness. His canter is uphill, spacious, and displays good leg technique. Lord Romantic moves with more than sufficient self-carriage, excellent balance, and good suppleness. Even at this young age, Lord Romantic already shows great ability to collect and extend, which stood out clearly during the performance test.
