As her name suggests, Ofay Texel comes from the renowned breeding program of top dressage horse breeder Wim van der Linde. Her sire is the KWPN-approved stallion Ferdinand (by Vivaldi), a stallion with a golden character who successfully competed up to Small Tour level. In 2019, he moved to the stables of Diederik van Silfhout with an eye on the Grand Prix and was sold to Russia later that same year.

Granddam is the Elite, Preferent, IBOP-dressage, and PROK-approved mare Fay I Texel (by Jazz). She produced, among others, Ofay Texel, the Ster, Preliminary Keur, and PROK-approved mare Lafayette Texel (by Glock’s Toto Jr.), and the Ster, Preliminary Keur mare May Fay Texel (by Ferdinand).

Great-granddam is the Elite, Preferent, Performance, IBOP-dressage, and PROK-approved mare V'Alcatrasse Texel (by Ferro). Besides Fay I Texel, she also produced:

the Elite, IBOP-dressage, and D-OC mare D'Alcatrasse Texel (by Lingh),
the Elite, Sport-dressage, IBOP-dressage, PROK-approved mare Golddigger Texel (by Bretton Woods), who competed up to ZZ-Licht level
