A Top Talent by World Champion Proud James!

Viridian Sky TA is an eye-catching colt with extra movement and an exceptional combination of sport performance and proven breeding value in his pedigree. His sire, Proud James, was recently crowned World Champion of the 5-year-old dressage horses under Mette Sejbjerg Jensen, with an impressive top score of 90.6%. In addition, he is the record holder of the KWPN performance test with no less than 91 points, including a 10 for self-carriage and suppleness.

The dam is the PROK-certified Oldenburg mare UB Delighted. She is a daughter of the Olympic stallion Desperados FRH, winner of team gold and individual bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and ranked among the top WBFSH dressage sires for many years. UB Delighted herself competed successfully at M-level.

Her offspring are already excelling in sport. Her son Enjoy Life (by Everdale) is, with Hortense Josserand, on the road to the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles and is also successfully competing in regular sport at ZZ-Licht (Advanced Medium) level. Another son, Gin Tonic (by Guardian S), is competing with U.S. Grand Prix rider Nicholia Clark, achieving scores over 70% at Advanced Medium level. At just six years old, he already showed talent for the Grand Prix movements, and his PSG debut is expected in 2026.

Viridian Sky TA holds the D-OC predicate and is WFFS-negative.

The dam is the Oldenburg mare UB Delighted, a daughter of none other than the Olympic stallion Desperados FRH (by De Niro), who won individual silver and team gold at the Olympic Games in London. As a foal, UB Delighted received the coveted Oldenburg Foal Premium and was later successfully competed at M1 level dressage. She also holds the PROK predicate. Due to the COVID period and an injury to her regular rider, she was not further competed and is now fully dedicated to breeding.

Her first offspring have almost all been awarded the Oldenburg Foal Premium and stand out for their intelligence, friendly and willing character, and playful nature. In sport, they are well on their way to the top. Her son Enjoy Life (by Everdale) was trained by French Grand Prix rider Camille Judet Chéret and is now, with para dressage rider Hortense Josserand (FRA), on the road to the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. He has already made a successful international debut and also performs strongly in regular sport at ZZ-Licht (Advanced Medium) level.

Both sons by Guardian S are also making an impression. Guardian’s Delight competes at M2 level in the national sport and regularly claims top placings, with plenty of potential for the higher levels. His full brother Gin Tonic is successfully competing at ZZ-Zwaar (Small Tour) level in the USA with Grand Prix rider Nicholia Clark, who was recently added to the first selection of Team USA for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles with her horse Komsi Komsa. With Gin Tonic she achieves scores over 70%. At just six years old, Gin Tonic already showed talent for the Grand Prix movements, and his PSG debut is expected in 2026.

The granddam is the Elite, Sport-dr., and PROK-approved mare Universe (by Sandro Hit). In addition to UB Delighted, she also produced the Z2-level dressage horse Grasshoper M (by United) and the international PSG horse Admiraal (by Rousseau).

The great-granddam is the Keur, Preferent, and Prestatie mare Magistreel (by Rubinstein I). She produced, among others, the Z1-level horse Dutch Dream (by Lord Leatherdale) and the Keur, Sport-dr., Z2-level mare Seattle (by Cocktail). Seattle, in turn, is the dam of the international PSG/Inter I horse Zorento (by Negro), successfully competed by Helena Francisco Jiminez (ESP).

This sporty and healthy damline also includes the international Grand Prix horse Carabino (by Carabas) and the Grand Prix mare Diamantenbörse OLD (by Diamond Hit), a true schoolmaster who took multiple riders to the highest level.

Proud James – World Champion & KWPN Performance Test Record Holder

The promising stallion Proud James has quickly captured the hearts of dressage enthusiasts. At the 2024 World Championships in Ermelo, he claimed victory in the 4-year-old class, and this year he was crowned World Champion in the 5-year-old dressage horses. With his impressive presence, phenomenal movement, and exceptional rideability, he ranks among the absolute best of his generation.

From Young Talent to World Champion

In 2024, Proud James made a big impression by winning the 4-year-old class in Ermelo. This year, he crowned his success with the World Championship title in the 5-year-olds, ridden by Mette Sejbjerg Jensen. In the final, he scored 8.8 for walk, 9.0 for trot, 9.5 for canter, 9.0 for rideability, and 9.5 for future potential, resulting in a total score of 91.4%.

KWPN Performance Test Record Holder

Proud James is not only a world champion but also the record holder of the KWPN performance test, with an outstanding 91 points. For walk, trot, canter, rideability, and potential, he scored straight 9.0s, and for self-carriage and suppleness, he received the dream mark of 10.

Strong Pedigree

Proud James comes from the first crop of the top stallion Jameson RS2, himself winner of the KWPN performance test, the Pavo Cup, and twice the KWPN Stallion Competition. Jameson RS2 has since achieved international success in the Small Tour and has sired multiple approved sons.

His dam, the Elite and PROK-certified mare Cyraniek (by Johnson), also produced the KWPN-approved stallion W-Horseland Inverness (by Everdale), winner in the international Small Tour in Aachen. This damline has produced multiple Grand Prix horses and approved stallions, including Beukenvallei’s Iconic B and Up Seven.

Sire Johnson

As a son of Johnson, Proud James carries a touch of Olympic glory in his genes. Johnson topped the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best dressage sires in 2022 and was himself one of the most successful Grand Prix horses of his era with Hans Peter Minderhoud, earning team gold and individual bronze at the European Championships in Aachen, team bronze at the World Equestrian Games in Caen, and competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
