This appealing, friendly and people-oriented colt combines the successful Vurona dam line of Ta Bellerose van het Eeuwenerf with the talented dressage stallion Obsession Taonga. Sire Obsession Taonga has quickly developed into one of the most exciting young dressage stallions of his generation. In addition to his successes in young horse championships, he is now also competing successfully at PSG/Inter I level, confirming his exceptional talent for the higher levels of dressage. His first offspring stand out for their presence, quality of movement and excellent temperament.

On the dam's side, this colt traces back to the successful Vurona family, a dam line that has produced sport horses and approved stallions for generations. The line goes back to the highly influential broodmare Urona (by Negro), who produced, among others, the Grand Prix horse Jillz Urona, the PSG/Inter I horse Corona (by Tuschinski) and the BWP-approved stallion Sir Urona (by Bloomberg).

Further representatives of this family include the Grand Prix horse Axel and the approved stallions Princedale, Dante's Empire, Roman Empire and Red Viper.

The dam is the young mare Ta Bellerose van het Eeuwenerf. She is a daughter of the Danish premium stallion Blue Hors Zackery (by Blue Hors Zack). Ta Bellerose descends from the successful Vurona dam line, a family that has distinguished itself for generations by producing sport horses and approved stallions.

The direct maternal line traces back to the highly influential broodmare Urona (by Negro), who produced, among others, the Grand Prix horse Jillz Urona, the PSG/Inter I horse Corona (by Tuschinski), and the BWP-approved stallion Sir Urona (by Bloomberg).

Further representatives of this family include the Grand Prix stallion Axel and the approved stallions Princedale, Dante's Empire, Roman Empire and Red Viper. The Vurona line has therefore established itself as a family in which sporting talent and breeding quality have gone hand in hand for many years.

The sire is the KWPN and Oldenburg-approved stallion Obsession Taonga, a son of Vitalis out of the NMK Champion, Elite, Preferent and Sport-Dressage mare Jatilinda (by All at Once). This jet-black stallion stands out for his presence, power and impressive way of moving, combined with excellent rideability and willingness to work.

Obsession Taonga has developed rapidly as a sport horse. In 2022, he was the highest-scoring stallion of the KWPN Performance Test, receiving 87 points, including a 9 for trot, a 9.5 for canter, and a 9 for rideability and self-carriage. As a five-year-old, he won the small final of the FEI World Championship for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo with a score of 89.6%. A year later, he finished sixth in the final in Verden as a six-year-old, scoring 85.6%.

He has also established himself among the top performers in the stallion competition. In the 2024/2025 season, he became reserve champion in the M class and achieved an outstanding score of 90.6 points during the KWPN Stallion Show. In the 2025/2026 season, he crowned his development by winning the Z class championship. The judges particularly praised his ability to collect, his balance and the quality of his pirouettes.

The maternal line of Obsession Taonga ranks among the finest in the Netherlands. Granddam Atilinda M competed at Intermediaire I level and produced, in addition to Obsession Taonga, the KWPN-approved stallion Jameson RS2 and premium stallion Otazu (by All at Once). As such, he represents a family that has distinguished itself in both sport and breeding for generations.

Obsession Taonga is also making a name for himself as a sire. His first offspring stand out for their presence, elasticity, balance and the ease with which they move. In addition, they appear to inherit his excellent temperament and people-oriented character. With his own sporting achievements, his influential dam line and his promising first crops, Obsession Taonga has developed into one of the most exciting young dressage stallions of his generation.
